Used Golf Balls for Sale!
OK, seriously, just how cheap do you have to be that you're looking for cheap used golf balls? I mean they're already used, so of course they're going to be cheap. Of course, I have 3 kids to feed, a wife to buy pretty stuff for, and a 125lbs dog that eats more than the kids do. In other words, when I say cheap, I mean CHEAP! I'm actually a pretty bad golfer, which probably comes from not having enough money for lessons; trying to feed all the kids and all… I tend to lose at least a sleeve of golf balls every time I play, and those are just the ones that go in the water hazards. I probably lose another 3-4 golf balls out of bounds when I play 18 holes. Seriously, if they gave me a handicap of 99, I still couldn't win the Master's. Back to my cheap golf balls… this was just supposed to be a short piece on where I get my used golf balls, since I can't afford to lose new Titleist's, Callaway's or even Wilson's as far as that goes, so let's move on. I get my golf balls from one of three places. Two of them are in my home town, and one of them is online. The first place I get golf balls is walking around the golf course early in the mornings with my dog, and picking up all the balls I lost the day before. It's actually a really great way to get a bunch of balls pretty easily, especially if I can beat the dog to them. (If a 125lbs dog beats you to a golf ball, the “NEW” dimples in the ball tend to make your slice way worse than it normally is.) If I can't find enough golf balls out on the edge of the course in the morning, then I usually load up with the discount balls that they have in the fishbowl on the counter at the pro shop. These are balls that the grounds keeper has pulled out of the water hazards, and most of these balls are mine too. What I'm thinking about doing is getting my own logo on my golf balls. You can get a little machine that you can use to stamp your balls with your own logo, and if I had one, maybe I could make the golf course give them back, since they'd have my name on them… But I digress. We were talking about where to get discounted balls. The third, and best, place to get cheap golf balls for sale, is a website, which, believe it or not, is named UsedGolfBallDeals.com. They have “second hand” balls from Callaway, Nike, Titleist, Taylor Made and even Bridgestone 330's. Being the crappy golfer that I am, I like to pick up one of their bags of Hit Away's. Hit Away's are balls that only have a couple of good drives left in them. And, since they're only about 12 cents each, they definitely make my golf game more affordable, especially when I use them around water, and save my good balls for the greens and the “waterless” fairways. If you don't have kids, or a wife, or a really big dog, then you should be able to afford new golf balls instead of looking for used golf balls for sale, and none of this will really mean anything to you. In that case, get a couple of sleeves of new Callaway's or Bridgestone's and hit them in the pond for me, so I can buy them tomorrow for half price… | ||||||||
